An Introduction to Basic Highpower Rifle Shooting and Competition--
Qualify to buy an M1 or M1903 rifle from CMP

Date, Time, and Place: 7:30am 20 March 2005, Tucson Rifle Club, Three Points, AZ

On AZ-86 (Ajo Way) near Mile Post 148. Gate opens at 7:00 AM.

Cost: $10 per Adult - Juniors (under 18) FREE

Match Course: A total of 45 rounds from the Standing, Sitting, and Prone positions. All firing at 200 yards. Standard SR target (13 inch bullseye)

Rifles: Any centerfire rifle (8mm or less) with iron sights adjustable for windage and elevation. A limited number of loaner rifles (M1 rifle and M1 carbine) will be available first come-first served.

Ammunition: Any safe commercial or handloaded ammunition. Club ammunition (.30-'06 and .30 Carbine) will be available for $10. Club ammunition must be used in loaner rifles.

Other Equipment: Attendees should bring eye and ear protection, a pencil or pen, drinking water, and a snack. A comfortable jacket, coat, or sweatshirt and gloves are also recommended.

NOTE: All entrants over 18 must bring a notarized Eligibility Affidavit and Liability Agreement or have one on file at TRC prior to the match. Blank affidavits are available at the TRC Range Office or download from:
