The Power of The (Liberal) Mind

|

I got this a while back in my e-mail, you probably got one too. Such is the reach of the internet these days.

The phaomnnehal pweor of the hmuan mnid!

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a total mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Tulry amzanig huh?

The above started me thinking, how would the anti-gun, liberal mind interpret the following newspaper article from the Payson Roundup...

Cowboy Lever Action Silhouette

|

Attended the TRC Board of Directors meeting last night. Attendance seemed a bit light given that the Board was discussing range improvements potentially costing tens of thousands of dollars. Oh well, work is hoped to start in late November or December --pending official authorization from Game & Fish.

On a more interesting note, Joe Duchene has set up a new match tentatively scheduled to begin January 2004 on the 4th Saturday of the month--Cowboy Lever Action Silhouette Rifle. Cowboy Lever Action Silhouette has three classes of rifles: Cowboy Lever Action, any rimmed case, 25 caliber or greater; Pistol Cartridge; and Smallbore. Open sights only (hey, its Cowboy). Match will be conducted on the Pistol Silhouette range. Guess I'll need to start collecting Cowboy rifles... good thing replicas are allowed.

Tactical Night Shoot

|

Another great day (night?) at TRC. Friends, conversation, some good shooting, big damn bag of candy (thanks, Bill), who can ask for more. Well, one thing, can anyone tell me who this guy is...

More Google follies

|

Seems we are not the only folks to be dis'd by Google. Here's the story from a firearms dealer looking to sell via Google's AdSense program. This guy has been making the rounds on the conservative talk show circuit. I heard him a couple days ago on the Laura Ingraham show. They did a number on Google.

Well, Google had fair warning. Now back to hating the French...

TRC Gets New Target Holders

|

TRC is evaluating new target holders for the range. Proposed target stands are of an improved design and automatically retract for servicing. Try them and let us know what you think.

Do you Google? Don't!

Google provides one of the best search engines available on the net. Just one problem, Google is anti-2nd second amendment rights! Here's the story of how they refused TRC's request to subscribe to their AdSense program and our correspondence with Google on this matter.

Remington 700 Trigger

|

The question of how to adjust the trigger on the Remington 700
action seems to come up on rec.guns at least several times a
year. Perhaps this will help.
